Dr. Gary Drake has spent the past 30 years perfecting the skills and techniques necessary to give his clients the smile they deserve. Dr. Drakes educational background as a cosmetic dentist is deeply rooted in the St. Louis metro area. He was accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry in 1992. Dr. Gary Drake received his fellowship in the International Academy for Dental-Facial Esthetics in 2002. As a member of the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, he is also certified in BOTOX Cosmetics and Dermal Filler enhancements. Dr. Drake resides in Fairview Heights, IL with his wife, Denise and their two Dachshunds, Dresden and Franklin.
Kim Wimmerstedt graduated from the Dental Hygiene Program at Parkland College in Champaign, Illinois in 1983. Kim went on to receive her certification in Local Infiltration Anesthesia in 2002. She is also certified to use the Soft Tissue Dental Laser by the World Clinical Laser Institute. She has been a dental hygienist for Dr. Gary Drake for 20 years. Kim currently resides in Collinsville, Illinois with her husband and 3 children.
Abigail Carstens, Medical Esthetician at Facial Rejuvenation Center, was born in Alton, Illinois and graduated Alton High School with AP classes and Honors. She went on to attend college at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona and Southern Illinois University where she studied Biology-Medical Sciences. Her love and passion for the skin care industry came from finding her inner beauty while competing in beauty pageants. Abigail Carstens competed for Miss Illinois USA 2010 and 2012 where she was a semi-finalist and was crowned Miss Illinois 2010. In 2010, Abigail competed nationally and ranked seventh place in the country. Finding the beauty in herself sparked a career in esthetics when she realized everyone is beautiful in their own way and has something to offer. She believes that we must see beauty in ourselves, which will give us confidence to succeed in life. As a Medical Esthetician, graduate from the Skin Institute, and having a background in Biology, she is able to fully understand the science of facial esthetics. Aside from her knowledge and education, Abigail’s desire to help clients achieve beautiful skin gives her happiness that helps her appreciate having such a rewarding career where she can touch peoples’ lives through encouragement, inspiration, and giving hope. She says “There is nothing more fulfilling than making someone else happy by achieving their esthetic goals.” She plans to regularly attend continuing education classes, seminars, and workshops in order to further her knowledge and expertise so as to better serve her clients.
